The Nagel-Group honours long service employees

Versmold, 1. February 2018 — The Nagel-Group continued the tradition of honouring its long service employees who have completed more than 25 years in the company on Thursday, 11 January 2018. The Nagel-Group's shareholding family had invited all 141 long service employees who have been working for the company for at least 25 years. Among the invitees were several employees who have remained loyal to the company for more than 30, 35, 40 or even 45 years.

Shareholder Marion Nagel opened the evening ceremony at the newly renovated hall at the Altstadthotel in Versmold. In her speech, she highlighted the recent developments within the Nagel Group and the logistics industry. "2017 has been a challenging year in many ways. Our goal was and is to constantly modernise our business and to position it in such a way that we are prepared to meet the challenges of the market. You all have been working for our company for more than two decades and you help us to improve every day. Therefore, we would like to thank you," Marion Nagel told the long service employees.

The long service employees each received a certificate and a medal from the shareholding family on Thursday evening. In addition to long service employees from Germany, employees from Belgium, Denmark, France, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary were also invited. "This list is a good reflection of our European identity and the many languages and cultures in which our employees operate," said Marion Nagel.

In his thank you speech, shareholder Tobias Nagel gave a brief overview of the current developments in network and infrastructure. He also highlighted the additional progress made at the operational level. For instance, the Nagel-Group has merged its logistics services for frozen products with the frozen logistics specialist Transthermos, which it took over in 2016. Moreover, the Nagel-Group is the first logistics company to be certified to the ZNU standard for "sustainable management". "For over 82 years, the Nagel-Group has been connecting the world of food. I hope you are also proud to be part of this history and this development," said Tobias Nagel.

In total, 853 employees from the Nagel-Group were honoured last year for being part of the company for at least ten years. Employees with 10, 15 or 20 years of service were honoured at their respective locations during the past year.
